SIX INGREDIENT HOMEMADE BISCUIT RECIPE

Adapted from CLEVERLY SIMPLE
Prep Time:15 minutes Cook Time:15minutes Servings:8-10 biscuits
INGREDIENTS:
2 cups all purpose flour
1tb baking powder
1tb granulated sugar
1 tsp salt
1/3 cup of butter (cold)
3/4 cup of milk
INSTRUCTIONS:
preheat oven to 425 degrees F
combine dry ingredients in a bowl
cut in the cold butter until resembling small pieces
slowly add milk. more if needed for consistency
mix with fork until dough is slightly sticky
remove dough from bowl onto a floured surface
i covered my surface with wax paper, then dusted with flour for easy cleanup
knead and fold dough at least 10 times
i don't have a ruler, so once folded, i used the heel of my hand to spread out the dough
until i felt it was thin enough. but it should be approximately one inch thick
i don't have a biscuit cutter, so i used the mouth of a glass dipped in flour to
cut the dough
place biscuits in an ungreased dark pan or whatever pan you have
bake 12-15 minutes or until golden brown
i used a timer
once done, before they cool, spread butter on top of each biscuit
these go well with good jam or honey
